Description:
The LCHS Rifle Team consists of male and female athletes in grades 9-12. Athletes train to compete in the open category of Three Position Air Rifle Competitions and are a part of GHSA Rifle Area TWO. The team is also a member of Navy JROTC Area TWELVE and competes in Navy, Joint JROTC and National Junior Olympic competitions.
Practice and Season:
Rifle season for GHSA is a winter sport with the season running from January to April. GHSA matches are normally after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Navy JROTC rifle season is a year round activity. NJROTC competitions are normally on Saturdays. During the school year, practices are 3:30 – 6:00 pm on Monday through Thursday.

Fundraiser Information:
The main fundraiser for the rifle team is by donations directly to the team or through the Albany Area Friends of the NRA and the Midway USA Foundation.
